Our philosophy

LATTE Baby and Child is a hand-made clothes collection for children which expresses love and passion.
An entire lifetime can flash before your eyes in just a few seconds…this is exactly what happens when one of our models is created. The imagination leaps from sketches to patterns, just like at the desks of tailors of yesteryear.
Our origins encourage and feel a passion we strive to convey in every single garment.
The collection exalts the beauty of natural and quality fibres, research into soft and modern materials and lines createdfor children, by an expert team which seamlessly and lovingly cooperates to bring you unique and romantic garments.
Exclusively “Made in Umbria”, an extraordinary and uncontaminated region which inspires and nurtures our experience.
Every single day we strive to create exclusive garments for our little ones,  with love and joy.

Our story

The idea came from a little girl sat with her grandmother at her table, intent on cutting and sewing unique dresses. Her dreamy and inquiring eyes accompanied her tailor grandmother, occupied yet happy, at her sewing machine. How happy she was whenever she put on clothes specially made for her by her grandmother. She was so good at it.

The sound of the sewing machine’s cogs was music to her ears.
Over the years the little girl began sketching on Burda’s cutter masters and outfit sheets, at first just for fun. As a teenager she created her very own dress, the stitching wasn’t quite perfect, but she relished in a unique sense of satisfaction when she put it on for the first time.
Maternity was an incredible and marvellous experience which became a source of inspiration for the creation of comfortable garments using quality natural product, for her own little one.
Mass manufactured and low cost items available on the market are practical, but lacking in quality. It is true that babies grow so quickly and will only wear items a few times, however garments need to maintain their characteristics, softness and fit when washed.

After opening the first shop dedicated to children’s clothing and her world, she wanted to share these creations with a small local market in Umbria, to express love and passion through clothing.
She wanted to create a small wardrobe which reflects her own characteristics, without paying too much attention to trends which all too often disregard the shape of individuals. An item of clothing always contains someone, a character, a personality.
Garments are created from a fabric we choose, the material inspires an idea.

Today that little girl has grown up, she is now a mother who draws inspiration from her own past, listens to the melody of that sewing machine whenever she closes her eyes: she is never alone, her grandmother is here with her.

All grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it
